Volunteering

We can help our members to find a volunteer role in local organisations such as charity shops and community supermarkets, parks and gardening, cafes and coffee mornings, community centres, animal sanctuaries, hospices, helping out with admin tasks in our office and for other local charities.  We also run courses on how to be a good volunteer from time to time.

There are a range of volunteer roles available to people with and without a learning disability.  We need volunteers to help us with our:

Social Clubs – Lunch Club, Health Club, Crossbow Club, Walk & Talk Group.

Courses – we are always looking for people to deliver or support the delivery of courses. Examples of courses that we have run previously or that our members have expressed an interest in include Reading & writing, Numbers & Money, IT, Floristry, Arts & Crafts, BSL, First Aid, DIY

Fundraising – helping with collections, community events, sponsored challenges.

Buddying – buddies help our members access activities and volunteering opportunities in the local area.
