We celebrated the memory of David Taylor on Saturday 12th August with a Barn Dance.
Those of you who knew Dave will probably remember that he always loved a Barn Dance so we thought this would be the perfect tribute.
Dave’s brother, Graham, not only supported the event financially, but he also travelled all the way from Ireland to support the event along with his family. His mum came along to the event and told us that it was the most fun that she’d had in ages.
Fantastic local band, Shave the Donkey, and their brilliant caller, Roger, kept us up and dancing all night, teaching us all the moves we needed to know. We may not have managed to get them all right, but we had fun trying!
But the night wasn’t just dancing, we were also treated to a delicious stew by Clare from Coffee Aroma who catered the event. The food was so good that lots of people went back for seconds!
And now for the grand total raised by the event: £1,229!
Thank you to everyone who came along to support the night and helped us to raise such a fantastic amount of money.
