On Saturday 22nd June, we celebrated Learning Disability Week with our Vale Park Funday. Lots of you joined us for a Euros-themed celebration, and the sun made an appearance too!
We put the fun in fundraising with football-themed games including beat the goalie and football bullseye. There was also the chance to try out drumming in the fantastic workshops run by Rhythm Reaction.
But if football and drumming weren’t your cup of tea, then you could grab a deck chair and listen to the fantastic live music played throughout the day. A big thank you to Hands & Voices, Just for Fun Ukes, The Homebirds, PopVox Choir, and Slightly Foxed for their wonderful performances.
A massive thank you to Sue and John, who helped to organise the day.
Anita performed at the funday with Hands & Voices. She said, “I enjoyed the funday on Saturday. I enjoyed it and also, I enjoyed performing with my Hands & Voices friends, and the weather was really nice.”
Trish came along and had this to say: “My mum and I had a great day!”.
Thank you to all those who came along to support. The final total raised at the funday was an amazing £572.82!
